Eindelijk vrijdag, mijn werkdag zat er op. Het kwam me eigenlijk helemaal niet goed uit dat ik moest werken op wat normaal gesproken mijn vrije dag is.
Ik snelde naar huis om me op de taart te storten dat ik voor de volgende klaar moest hebben voor mijn nichtje's verjaardag. Het figuurtje had ik een dag eerder al af. De taart zelf moest nog gevuld, besmeerd, bekleed, gestapeld en versierd worden. Iets wat ik altijd zo kort mogelijk voor de gebeurtenis doe.
De volgende dag rond 3 uur in de ochtend legde ik, moe maar voldaan, de laatste hand aan de taart en kon ik eindelijk naar bed.

Friday at last. It actually didn't suit me at all to work on what's considered to be my normal day off. So I rushed home from work to finish off the cake for my niece's birthday the next day. The figures and the cakes I had finished already. The cakes though still have to be filled, covered, piled and decorated. I prefer to do that as short as possible to the event.
The next day around approx. 3 o'clock in the morning, tired but satisfied I did the finaltouches to the cake and I could finally go to bed.
