Hello

Hi, thanks for visiting my blog. I'm Laureen living in the Netherlands, working part-time (but mostly full-time because I'm needed on my day off as well) as a secretary.
I love home decorating. You will see besides some of my cakes also some pics of inspirational home decors. Also I'm interested in photography. But most I'm interested in cake decorating. This blog is mainly about this hobby. Enjoy.

And then there was ...... Cake

Passionate with cake decorating and everything related to it I started this blog. 
All of this caused by a video which I stumbled upon on You Tube while surfing on the internet: "Cake decorating - Fun with fondant" . I was impressed by the cake. It triggered me to make something like that too. 


I joined a workshop without the intention to get a hobby out of it. Just make a lovely cake and eat it. Nothing more. But I was surprised about the result. Did I make that? And it tasted sooooo good.
I wasn't aware of it at that time but at that point cake decorating became a hobby. A passionate hobby.


I started to participate some cake decorating classes, bought several interesting and educating cake books which helped me to master some skills. Mostly I taught myself how to bake and decorate along the way and I'm still learning.. I think the learning never stops but meanwhile I have made a lot of beautifully decorated cakes that I can showcase already here on my blog.
