Macarons - The Succes Story
What a fuzz about a cookie you might think. If you've read my first story about the Macarons you know why the fuzz is about and where my fascination for this cookie and my determination to succeed comes from.
Good luck if you also wanna give it a try.

Macarons - the first attempt
A macaron is a thin cookie with a crisp shell, circular in shape, slightly rounded, with tempting colors and a tender interior. From origin it's a French cookie made of almond meal, egg white and sugar and filled with all kinds of soft tasty fillings. I've seen them in the colors red, blue, green, yellow, brown and white.
When I saw a picture of this cookie for the first time I got excited. I wanted to learn more about these cute, little and colorful treasures. I found several recipes on the internet. Almost all of them saying that the first try could be a failure.
They were right. My first baking (cherry & chocolate taste) was not a succes. The shells should be smooth. Mine were cracked despite the fact that I've followed the recipe strictly except for one thing. The humidity in the room. That's one thing I cannot control. It was a hot sunny day when I made them and the humidity was high.
But inspite of the cracked shells they tasted deliciously.
It's certainly worth a second attempt. Or a third or a fourth.
I don't care. I continue until they're perfect.
See how my little nephew enjoys his first macaron.
Cute isn't it?
He doesn't seem to care how the cookie looks like.
